At this year’s CV Show, leading tachograph experts...
Tachodisc, were on hand to advise the industry about changes to the Drivers’ Hours Law regulations, as well as the continued transition to digital tachographs.
Changes to the law, which were implemented on April 11th, came shortly before the CV Show and Tachodisc Director, Karen Crispe, anticipated that these changes, which were implemented on April 11th, would be the main emphasis for this year’s show, together with digital tachographs. She explained: “Many in the industry have not yet made the move to digital, and this year we also see 29 previously out of scope operations/vehicles being brought in scope, including utility vehicles, refuse collection, and even letter post.”
“Digital tachographs are daunting enough for those used to dealing with analogue, but for many previously out of scope drivers and operators this is a completely new area. This became even more evident at the show, with many visitors to the stand seeking advice from our team of legal and analysis experts. In addition, hundreds of visitors also received the free leaflet we had produced, which summarises in an easy to understand form, all the main points of the new Drivers’ Hours regulations. “
