Ann has worked with Tachodisc for over 28 years and leads the 'Shop' team back at HQ. With many of our customers having spoken to Ann over the years we thought it’d be a great opportunity for you to get to know more about Ann and her job role.
What is your role within Tachodisc?
I am the Shop team leader.
How long have you worked here for?
It's now been 28 years!
What would you say is the biggest contributing factor to your length of service?
The flexibility. I think it's great to work for a company who is understanding.
Out of everyone in the company who would you most like to swap places with for the day and why?
It would have to be Corrine. She has such a varied job within the company, she works on everything from sales to Bureau analysis.
Who would you say is your biggest competitor in the industry?
Where do you start... I'd probably say Digital 2000.
What makes Tachodisc products better than competitors?
The quality. That goes for both the products and the service that we provide to our customers.
What is your favourite product and why?
I'd have to say my favourite product is our analogue tachograph charts. These charts have been the bread and butter of Tachodsic for many many years.
What is something people in your industry have to deal with that you want to fix?
I'd like for there to be a clearer understanding of driving regulations and hours. There is too much white noise and it gets confusing for our customers to know what it is that they have to do to stay compliant.
Describe your job in three words.
Varied, exciting and enjoyable!
What do you think your customers biggest pain points are?
The lack of understanding of the legislation that surrounds driver hours.
What's the most common question that you get asked?
I'm new to digital, what do I need to get started.
